Regional Telecommunications Inquiry

The Shire has received advice that the Legislative Council Standing Committee on Public Administration has resolved to undertake an inquiry into regional telecommunications in Western Australia. The terms of reference are to inquire into and report on issues impacting regional telecommunications in Western Australia. The deadline for submission is the 26th April 2024.
This inquiry provides an opportunity to highlight telecommunication issues specific to the Shire of Yilgarn.
The Shire of Yilgarn intends to make a submission and invites members of the Yilgarn community to either make their own submission direct to the committee, or, provide comments to the Shire’s CEO, for consideration for inclusion as part of the Shire of Yilgarn submission.
To provide comments to the Shire for consideration, please provide in writing to the Chief Executive Officer via no later than 23 April 2024 with subject titled: “Regional Telecommunications Inquiry”.
