CARAVAN PARK CARETAKER CASUAL (RELIEF)

The Shire of Yilgarn is seeking a casual Relief Caretaker for the Southern Cross Caravan Park, to carry out the duties of the Caravan Park operations whilst the permanent full-time and part-time Caravan Park Caretakers are on leave or break – five consecutive days per fortnight or as required.

The successful applicant should have good customer service skills, good personal presentation and being fit & healthy is essential. The role will require undertaking all activities to run the operations of the park and tourist accommodation, including; reception and bookings, reporting to Shire, amenities and onsite accommodation cleaning, and supervision of grounds maintenance contractors.

The successful applicant must be well presented, honest, hard-working, have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and have a passion for excellence in the park.

Employment terms and salary package are as per the details within the application pack.

For those applicants that do not reside in Southern Cross, there is the opportunity of free accommodation at the park during the relief periods.

PLANT OPERATOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE

The Shire of Yilgarn currently has an opportunity for a reliable person to join our team. The primary responsibilities of the position are the construction and maintenance of Shire roads.

The applicant must be:
• Self-motivated
• Have a strong work ethic
• Work well in a team
• WA “HR” manual drivers' licence
• WA Construction card “White card”
• Physically able to undertake manual work including bending, lifting and handling various types of tools and equipment
• Physically fit

What we offer:
• ***heavily subsidized housing/housing allowance***
• up to 19.5% superannuation contribution
• 9-day fortnight, one rostered day off per fortnight
• consistent overtime available, current average work day of 9.5 hours (including overtime)
• Annual wage up to $86,033 (including average overtime hours)
• adverse working conditions allowance
• uniform allowance
• relocation expenses in accordance with Shire Policy
