Local Government Act 1995

Adoption of Local Law

Pursuant to Section 3.12(6) of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of Yilgarn's Council resolved at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 21 May 2026 to adopt the following local law:

Public Places, Local Government Property and Trading Amendment Local Law 2026

PURPOSE: This local law amends the Shire of Yilgarn Public Places, Local Government Property and Trading Local Law 2025 as published in the Government Gazette No. 50 on 1 May 2025.

EFFECT: Addresses a number of grammatical and referencing errors.

The local law is published on the Shire’s official website www.yilgarn.wa.gov.au and copies of the local law may be inspected at or obtained from the Shire’s administration office at 23 Antares Street, Southern Cross during normal opening times.

The local law was published in the Government Gazette on 29 May 2026 and came into operation from Friday, 12 June 2026.
