HUMAN RESOURCES – PAYROLL OFFICER

 

The Shire of Yilgarn invites applications for the position of Human Resources - Payroll Officer. 

 

An attractive remuneration package will be in the range of $97,291 to $102,023 and will include base salary, superannuation of 11.5% and additional Council contributions of 7.5% (subject to matching), housing or housing allowance and other benefits.

 

The primary responsibilities of the position are:

 

  • Undertaking accurate and timely processing of payroll including single touch payroll and superannuation lodgement;
  • Providing confidential HR support to senior management including staff recruitment, training schedules and annual staff reviews;
  • Providing effective internal and external customer service; and
  • Assisting the Senior Management with various duties.

Community Development Officer/Executive Assistant – Permanent Part Time

The Shire of Yilgarn has an exciting opportunity for a community minded person to join our team for the newly created role of Community Development Officer/Executive Assistant.

 

The main focus for the role is community development, where the Shire seeks a driven and proactive person to take responsibility for the community development functions of the Shire, including:

  • Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating community development and community engagement initiatives to deliver the Shire’s strategic goals.
  • Development and delivery of viable events and programs which aim to enhance culture, arts, sport and community life within the Shire of Yilgarn.

The role is also responsible for the Executive Assistant functions of the Shire, including:

  • Providing high level executive assistance to the Shire President, Chief Executive Officer and other Senior Managers;
  • Manage the governance administration requirements of the organisation on behalf of the CEO.

The permanent part time position will commence as a 0.6 FTE (6 days per fortnight) and given the hours worked will be sporadic to meet the needs of the community and the role, flexible working arrangements will be considered, including some working from home provisions.

 

The position is classified as a Level 6/7 of the Shire of Yilgarn Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2021 and offers a total remuneration package of $52,297 to $59,833 based on 0.6 FTE.
