DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION

PROPOSED WORKFORCE ACCOMMODATION – PARKERS CAMP

LOT 1006 ON DEPOSITED PLAN 191208, MARVEL LOCH

 

The Shire has received a planning application proposing workforce accommodation on the abovementioned lot.  The lot has already been developed with accommodation that services the mining industry, known as ‘Parkers Camp’.

The application proposes an additional 34 four room accommodation buildings which will cater for 136 workers.  Additional supporting facilities are also proposed including a gym, reception building, expansion of dining facilities, laundries a locker building, and additional storage. 

Prior to determining this application, the Shire would like to provide an opportunity for public comment on the proposal.  The development plans can be viewed at the Shire of Yilgarn,  23 Antares Street in Southern Cross or by clicking here: Development Plans

Should you wish to make a submission on the proposal, your comments (in writing) will need to be lodged with Council within 28 days by 24th August 2023.   

 

Please note, if no comments are received by the closure date, we will assume that you have no comment you wish to make and the application will be assessed and determined on its merits and without any further consultation.
