NOTICE OF INTENTION TO

IMPOSE DIFFERENTIAL RATES

 Section 6.36

Local Government Act 1995

 

The Shire of Yilgarn, at the March Ordinary Council Meeting, resolved to adopt the 2017/2018 Rating Strategy which included the Differential and Minimum Rating model expected to be imposed as part of the 2017/2018 Budget.  The 2017/2018 Rating Strategy recommended the following differential and minimum rates:

The rate revenue raised from rural UV for 2017/18 is to be the same as the amount raised in 2016/17, noting that the cents in the $ might vary depending on the new valuations supplied by the Valuer General for use in 2017/18.

Differential Rates Objectives and Reasons

 

Electors and ratepayers are invited to make submissions on the proposed differential and minimum rates for Councils consideration. Submissions are to be addressed to, Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Yilgarn, P O Box 86, Southern Cross, 6426.

 

No submissions will be considered after 4pm, Friday 26th May 2017.
